BRIEF ON JIMS GROUP OF INSTITUTES

Our Institute, the Jagannath International Management School (JIMS), Kalkaji, New Delhi functions under the aegis of the Jagannath Gupta Memorial Educational Society, a non-profit registered organization, which has been imparting high quality professional education since 1993. Since then the Society has established eight management and technical colleges in Delhi, NCR and Jaipur A historic landmark was achieved in 2008 with the setting up of a private State University i.e. Jagannath University in Jaipur. A second private state University is under construction in Bahadurgarh in the nearby state of Haryana.

  As per the survey undertaken by leading business magazine, Business Today, JIMS has been ranked as the 25^th best B-School in the country and the 13^th best in North India.

  JIMS has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 International Quality Certification for excellence in academic course content and quality of teaching methodology.

  We offer Under graduate and Post Graduate courses in Business administration, Computer Applications, Journalism and Mass Communication, Applied Arts and Crafts (Fashion and Apparel Design), Hospitality and Tourism and Engineering Courses in Computers, Information Technology, Mechanical and Engineering, Electronic Instrumentation and Control Engineering.

• Foreign University Collaboration

  JIMS has collaborative arrangements with various foreign Universities such as University of Aberystywth (Wales), UK, Cologne University of Applied Sciences, Germany, and Deakin University, Australia. These collaborations cover faculty and student exchange programmes.

• Modern Faculties

  Each Campuses has a rich, well equipped library and subscribes to both Indian and foreign periodicals and journals. Class rooms are air-conditioned and Computer labs are equipped with modern audio-visual teaching aids and state of the art computer net working. A lease line of 1 MBPS provides unlimited internet access to the students. All campuses are Wi-Fi enabled for better communication and accessibility.

• Pedagogy

  Teaching methods in our Campuses include case-study, games, seminar, group exercises, role play, lectures and discussions. Audio-visual aids are extensively used. The various academic programmes provide not only conceptual knowledge but place emphasis on practical learning and decision making.

• Institute-Industry Interface

  JIMS campuses also work towards maintaining regular industry-institute interface. Guest lectures and industrial visits are organized to provide full industry exposure to the students. Students also undertake compulsory projects and summer training. The post-graduate students are also attached with Industry mentors and internal faculty guides who shape their overall personality through regular interaction and counseling.

  Nearly 5000 students are studying in the various campuses. To enhance personality and self development we emphasize on co-curricular and extra curricular activities through participation in various competitions such as Quiz, Debate, Project, Sports, etc. These provide ample opportunities to our students to showcase their talent and compete against the best in the field.
